Mrs. Megan McClain

Kindergarten

Mrs. McClain is originally from Hampton Roads and graduated from Christopher Newport University. Her and her husband, Travis, have lived in Smithfield for the past 15 years with their three children.

She enjoys the opportunity to help establish the love of learning as well as civic and moral virtues in our youngest students.

Mrs. Darlene Hyle

First & Second Grade

Mrs. Hyle is originally from Norfolk and graduated from Old Dominion University. Her and her husband Craig have lived in Isle of Wight County for over 30 years.

She enjoys helping her students build a strong emphasis in language through instruction in phonics and grammar.

Mrs. Katie Wirt

Third & Fourth Grade

Mrs. Wirt is originally from Arlington, VA but has lived in Hampton Roads for over 35 years. She graduated from Virginia Wesleyan University and has a master’s in education from Old Dominion University.

She enjoys teaching in the challenging learning environment that HRC provides.

 
 
 
 

Ms. Elizabeth Siebenbrunner

Art

Ms. Siebenbrunner is originally from Connecticut and attended Miami University in Ohio. She has lived in the Isle of Wight County area with her two children for the past 10 years.

She enjoys helping students learn to love what is beautiful by exploring the story of some of the greatest works of art through the ages.

Mrs. Karen Clark

Music

Mrs. Clark is originally from northern Virginia and attended George Mason University. Her and her husband, Steve, have lived in Carrollton with their daughter for the past 10 years. 

She enjoys helping young students learn and appreciate the language of music as well as the integration of music theory, performance, and history.

Ms. Rebeccah Miller

Office Administration

Ms. Miller is originally from Asheville, NC and graduated from The Savannah College of Art & Design specializing in Communication. She recently moved to Carrollton from Cincinnati, OH.

She is the liaison between our families & faculty and enjoys caring for our students while communicating our mission within the community.
